Meet our Confirmation Students! This week: Kennedy-Grace Bloomer! My name is Kennedy-Grace Bloomer. I am 15 years old and I’m currently a sophomore at Chequamegon High School. My parents are Matt and Angela Bloomer. I have no siblings, but I have 3 dogs: Katie, Sam, and Cooper. I am involved in cross country, track, colorguard, winterguard, band, and FBLA. I want to be confirmed to be closer to God with my faith. I see myself sharing my faith by praying for people who are in need of it and who are struggling to make the right choices or having a bad day. Conversion of St. Paul On January 25th, we celebrate the apostle St. Paul. Paul’s story is a testament to the power and love of God. Paul began his life as Saul, an idealistic young Pharisee. He was present at the stoning of the first Christian martyr, Stephen. Saul took it upon himself to track down and persecute professed Christians. On his way to a community in Damascus, he was struck by a blinding light and saw a vision of Christ who asked, “Why are you persecuting me?” The powerful experience transformed him forever. Paul, as he was now known, became one of the greatest evangelists of the early Church. Many of his letters are preserved in the Bible. His wisdom, zeal, and devotion lives on for all the Church.
