Our religious education classes ended on Wednesday, April 25. I want to thank Pat Hoffman, Victoria Smith, Jovanna Schmidt, Kelsey Woodie, Joan Page, Len Schmidt, Hailey Dykstra, Cassandra Schienebeck, Michelle McClay, Gini Vuchetich, Connie Teeters, Patti Thibedeau, Deacon Chet, and Fr. Shaji for the time and talents they shared with our children as they spread the Good News and lead by example. A number of the catechists mentioned more than once that they felt called to do this ministry. We’re blessed that they answered that call. Grades K-5 concluded the year with a short program of prayers, songs, a skit, and a child’s version of the Ten Commandments. More than 30 adults joined the children for Sloppy Joes afterwards. That same night grades 6-9 used the last session to review the semester’s topics, and sophomore families had a quick meeting in regard to the second half of the confirmation program. Juniors had been confirmed the previous Sunday. Flat Stanley (ask a child to explain) visited the parish last week from St. Joseph Catholic Academy in Kenosha. He was thrilled to have a photo op with Bishop Powers before the confirmation Mass. Flat slipped in on Wednesday afternoon to sing a few songs with the afternoon group. I pray you have a save and blessed summer. See you at church. ~Mrs. Rominske Calendar Of Events5-7 ~Echoes of Faith: Morality
