Meet our Confirmation Students!
This week: Benjamin My name is Benjamin, I am 16 years old and I am in 10th grade. My parents are Aimee Pritzl and Patrick Pritzl. I also have two older sisters Liz and Katie. I have participated in many sports like Basketball and Cross Country. If there were any arts that I was in it is only shop classes and building classes. Any academics that I do are only robot competitions for Vex robots. Milk Moola caps and bag tops from Kwik Trip can be dropped off in the box at the playground entrance. Religious Education receives 5¢ for each item. Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, March 6, 2019. Meet our Confirmation Students!
This week: Anna Wagner My name is Anna Wagner and I’m a 15 year-old in tenth grade. I have eight siblings named: Danny, Michelle, Liz, Katie, Noah, Emma, Leah, and Grace. My parents are Cindy and Dan Wagner, and I’m in band and track. My parents wants me to be confirmed so I have the choice to be married in the Catholic church. My Catholic Faith means that I have the freedom to speak to God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit or say a “Hail Mary” whenever I feel the need to. I see myself sharing my faith by inviting my friends to go to a church service with me. February 17th is Random Act of Kindness Day! Here are some ideas to surprise those around you. • Going through a drive-thru? Pay for the order of the person behind you. • Send a handwritten note to a family member or old friend. • Invite your neighbors over for appetizers, or bring them a sweet treat. • Complete a task your spouse has been bugging you about for months. • Offer a loved one a foot or back massage. • Bring your family’s furry friend to visit a local nursing home. • Buy $5 coffee shop gift cards for your children’s teachers. • Invite your parish priest over for dinner. • Bring a bag of groceries to a family in need. This week: Abigail Herbst I’m Abigail Herbst. I am 15 years old and a sophomore. My parents are Bill and Arlie Herbst and my sister is Jessica Herbst. I’m in cross-country, track, choir, and band. I want to be confirmed because I want to become closer to God. My catholic faith is important to me because it is part of who I am especially as a St. Anthony’s School alumni. I see myself sharing my faith in the future by taking part in church. This week: Lydia Kelnhofer My name is Lydia Kelnhofer and I am 15. This year I’m a sophomore, and I am in FBLA. I live with my dad, Jim, my mom, Kate, and my dog, Gracie. Being confirmed is important to me, because I went to catholic school for a long time. My faith is important to me and my family. I hope being confirmed will help me hold on to my beliefs for the rest of my life. A Prayer for Sportsmanship Holy Trinity, One God, You have made us in Your image and likeness as individuals and as a community. Thank you for opportunities to work together towards a common goal, to test our limits, and to develop discipline. Thank you for opportunities to communicate, love our “enemies,” and humbly accept both victory and loss. Keep us safe in our athletic pursuits today.
